The Dagashi logs below is created using my template.
Introduced in 1965, Chocoball quickly became a beloved treat in Japan. Originally named "Morinaga Chocolate Ball," its packaging featured popular anime characters of the time.
In 1967, "Kyoro-chan" became the official mascot, leading to the iconic packaging we recognize today.
When I was younger, there were only a few flavors like peanuts, caramel, and biscuit.
The taste? Easily imaginable flavors, akin to your typical chocolate confectionery.
Opening the package would sometimes reveal "Gold Angel Marks" or "Silver Angel Marks." Collecting these and sending them to Morinaga would earn you a toy can, though I rarely had any luck finding the angels myself.
During the 1990s to the early 2000s, Chocoball expanded its range to include a variety of flavors.
Today, it's a must-have prize in Claw crane, adding a touch of nostalgia to arcade-goers' collections.
