Brand : Yaokin Co. Ltd Suguru Shokuhin
The Dagashi logs below is created using my template.
The one in the photo is “Bic Katsu” sold by “Yaokin,” a manufacturer of Umaibo, but there are many similar snacks in Japan.
Suguru Shokuhin, which manufactures the “Hamu Katsu” in the photo, also manufactures “Bic Katsu” and other different flavors such as “Miso Katsu”.
The word “katsu” usually refers to deep-fried meat in a batter, such as “tonkatsu,” but these snacks are made from seafood. They are delicacy snacks made by battering and deep frying thin sheets of fish meat.
The texture and taste are almost identical to those of snacks.
I thought these delicacies tasted the same, but this time I found out after eating the two pictured in succession that the “ham katsu” had a ham flavor and was different from the “bic katsu”.
If you want to try an artificial meat-flavored delicacy snack made with fish meat, go for it!
